We are so excited to be stocking the Knitting Barber ORIGINAL knitting cords.

They designed and handmade by a fantastic one-woman-company in Finland. 

These cords are used to hold the stitches of your knitted garments, they connect right to your needle tip and easily slide across stitches to keep them on hold, tie a knot at the ends to keep them from slipping off. When it's time to get your stitches back onto your needles again, simply untie the cords and connect them to your needle tip once more and slide it through. 

These cords can be used on a wide range of needle sizes (pointy is best!) and are specially made to suction onto your needles.

There are three cords in total and they come in a tin to keep them safe - 2 x 75cm (30"), great for sleeves, and 1 x 150cm (60"), which is perfect to hold body stitches on a sweater and try it on as you go. 

The hardest thing you'll have to do is choose your colour!!

Barber stitch holding cord.

Love that the cord is contained in a small container, lovely vibrant colours. Haven’t used it yet but am quite sure they will be perfect for the job instead of lengths of yarn to hold holding stitches. Easy to use.

Great stitch holding cords

These are brilliant! The cords are made out of silicone so they have a slight amount of grip to them. Even if your knotted ends come undone the stitches won't slip off. The knots are easy to undo when you want to get back to knitting your sleeves, no more hunting around in my notions bag for my scissors! Thanks Jooles and Briony. X

Barber Holding cords

These cords are such a simple idea and so useful. Have already used them on a jumper and it was so much easier than using waste yarn. Little storage box is really sweet and as usual from Sew Sweet Violet they arrived really quickly. Many thanks Jooles and Briony x
