Sew & Quilt - English Paper Piecing Templates 3" Dresden Cone 8 Petal

We're very excited to be stocking a selection of Sew & Quilt English paper piecing templates!

This pack contains the templates for 12 x 3" dresden plates, with 8 petals and centre circle. The final flower measures approximately 3" diameter.

The Dresden shape is a classic quilt design which is achieved with ease using paper templates. The centre circle is designed to be appliqued over the plate. To achieve this simply make a running stitch around the circle and pull the threads so the fabric gathers over the paper template, press a hot iron on the gathered side to keep the shape. Applique directly onto the centre of the Dresden plate. The versatile Dresden cone shape can be also be pieced without the centre circle as they feature pointed tips so you can piece them all the way to the centre.

English Paper Piecing is a traditional quilting and patchwork method of hand-sewing shapes together using paper templates. With a variety of shapes and sizes available the design possibilities are endless.
